FORT MYERS BEACH: In almost two weeks, eight television commercials promoting Lee County's clean, oil-free beaches have hit national airwaves. It is part of an aggressive marketing campaign from the Lee County Visitor and Convention Bureau. And today's ad had a little help from a big celebrity. We've introduced you to Dan; the "tourist" visiting a different Lee County beach in each commercial. "I'm here in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, continuing my mission to make sure all the beaches are clean," he said.
